DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Route of Administration: Solak Herbal mixture must be taken orally Dosage Adults (18 years and above) The usual dose is; Four (4) tablespoonful (60ml) three times (3X) daily for twenty one (21) days (3 weeks) Children (12 years to 17 years) Three (3) tablespoonful (45ml) three times (3X) daily for twenty one (21) days (3 weeks) If you forget to take a dose of Solak Herbal mixture, take the prescribed dose as soon as you remember and continue the rest of the dosage exactly as indicated above. Do not take double dose to make up for forgotten dose.

SIDE EFFECTS Solak Herbal Mixture is well tolerated. It has no Active ingredient known to cause drowsiness or dizziness. It therefore has no effect on driving or machinery operation.

WARNING /CAUTION Do not use Solak Herbal Mixture if:

•  you are allergic to leaves, stem barks and roots of any of the Active Ingredients.
• your condition has not been diagnosed as associated with lowered Immunity.

Please inform your prescriber you are taking Solak Herbal Mixture, when other drugs are going to be prescribed for you, including allopathic over-the-counter-medicines.

CONTRAINDICATIONS Solak Herbal Mixture is not recommended for pregnant women, lactating mothers and individuals below twelve (12) years.

OVER-DOSAGE AND MANAGEMNT If you take overdose of Solak Herbal Mixture, drink plenty of water and consult your Health Care Provider immediately. Do not induce vomiting. The Observable Adverse Effect Level (OAEL) of Solak Herbal Mixture is greater than five times (5X) the stated daily dose.

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY Efficacy, Acute and Sub-Chronic Toxicity Test Hemagglutinating antibody titer Sprague – Dawley rats were put into six groups with six rats in each group. Animals in all groups were immunized with 5.0 x 108 SRB / ml after which each group was treated with either Solak Herbal Mixture extract (30, 100 or 300 mg/kg p.o., daily), levamisole (10 mg/kg, p.o, daily), dexamethasone sodium (4mg/kg, i.m, daily) or Normal saline. On Day 20, the hemagglutinating antibody (HA) titer was determined in which blood samples were collected from retro-orbital plexus into test tubes placed on ice. After 1 h, the blood samples were centrifuged to obtain the serum. Ten serial dilutions of the serum in 0.15 M phosphate buffer saline (PBS) pH 7.2 were made and 50ul of these were then titrated with 25ul of 2.5 x 107 SRBC /ml. the test tubes were then incubated at room temperature for 2 h and examined visually for agglutination. The reciprocal of the highest dilution of serum showing 50% agglutination is expressed as HA titer.

RESULTS Levamisole and Solak Herbal Mixture treatment resulted in significant increases (Ps0.001) in the HA titer and WBC count relative to the dexamethasone and no treatment groups. A differential count preformed indicated an increase in lymphocyte of blood in the Solak Herbal Mixture – treated groups.
